Latest on Batwing Awnings

Recently, I purchased a new T@G 2018 Boondock (6ft) and received an awning of my choice as a Birthday and Christmas present. I'm particularly interested in the Batwing due to its extensive coverage from the door to the galley, which is useful in inclement weather. However, I've read several prior postings that have left me confused. There are numerous mentions about the Batwing not being high enough to fully open the galley door, or the door hitting the awning. Is this still an issue?

I have a Yakima rack on top. Most likely, I'll have the dealer mount the awning along with some other upgrades since I lack the necessary tools and my DIY projects often become more complicated than necessary. I've read suggestions about moving the bar position to level the awning. Will I need to purchase additional equipment to give the awning more height, allowing the galley door to open properly?
